Reactions to Death
Reactions to Death are varied, ranging from simple condolences to expansive memorials. Player deaths are a significant event and can result in strong emotional and symbolic responses from friends, teammates and the wider server community.
Chat Reactions
Deaths are announced in chat and accompanied by the sound of thunder. By far the most common responses to death messages are 'F' and 'RIP', with a combined sum of over 16,000 reactions. 'F' is marginally more popular than 'RIP', making up 54% of reactions.

Memorials

As well as chat reactions, physical graves and memorials are routinely built to honour deceased players. While graves are often built by friends or teammates, it is not uncommon for players to construct simple graves at the site of a death. Player heads (which are automatically placed at the location of a death) are occasionally buried in a grave, but due to the risk of grave robbing many players opt to instead honour a death without burial. Many settlements have established graveyards honouring the passing of residents and clan members, and several cemeteries have been constructed- of which the Sanctum Yard Cemetery is the most expansive.
Celebrations
Sometimes, deaths on the server are celebrated. This can be for different reasons, including the death of a player killer or of a cheater.
Player Killers
When player killers die, it is usually celebrated among new players, since new players are the most common target for player killing. New players celebrate because the server is less stressful for them to play, as a threat to their server time has disappeared. Player killer death is also celebrated by teams that are against player killing, like the Commonwealth. Most of the time, player killers are killed by player killer hunters.
Cheaters
Cheaters on the server usually get banned, but are sometimes killed instead. Players celebrate when either happen, as cheating is not allowed on the server. A cheater being banned is a justice to the rest of the server, as cheating is unfair to players who don't cheat.
Funny Deaths
Sometimes, deaths are funny, making the server laugh. Funny deaths include any death that is humourous, whether that be from the timing, from the last message of the player, from what the player died to, etc.
