Two days after Pannekoek15NL's attempt, a third and final attempt to kill Burgsuer was made by the Order of the Sanctum. On the 4th of July 2026, Burgsuer was blown up by [[ItsNoSix]]. The killing initially drew wide condemnation and confusion from many players who were completely unaware of the dispute over the shulker box of gold blocks. However, the Order of the Sanctum's success was short lived, as just seven minutes after Burgsuer's death, Pannekoek15NL was blown up in The End. The community's confusion was exacerbated by the second killing, and due to the death being the result of a respawn anchor, the killer's name was not included in the death message. Moments after the killing, [[ForbesMC]] entered The End and found [[Samestera]] picking up items from where Pannekoek15NL had been killed. Based off of this, Samestera became the assumed culprit but pled their innocence. After 10 minutes, evidence confirmed that it was not Samestera that had killed Pannekoel15NL, but 1590283112- who had carried the killing out in revenge for Burgsuer's death. | Two days after Pannekoek15NL's attempt, a third and final attempt to kill Burgsuer was made by the Order of the Sanctum. On the 11th of July 2026, Pentágono was destroyed by 1590283112. Many of the settlements farms and bases were destroyed with explosives, and a flying TNT duper was created to bombard FelOdisseus' castle. The Gold Crisis was a dispute over a shulker box of gold blocks that resulted in a series of ambushes, the death of several high-profile players and the complete destruction of Pentágono in July 2026.
Background
See also: Pentágono
Pentágono was established in late-August 2025 by VeyK, TheInefavel, Truy1, Ravxss, Spark_03, Salefranguito, and MrNiquitos. Though initially conceived as an off-base farming complex, it would later become a major Brazilian settlement and megabase after the fall of Porto Seguro in November 2025. Besides housing several large farms, it featured houses, storage, statues of its members and a large castle. Prior to Pentágono's founding, an early iteration of a gold farm had been constructed close to Porto Seguro, but had quickly been griefed and rendered inoperational. This, in part, was what motivated the founders to move large-scale farming off-site, and Pentágono's gold farm was one of the first farms to be created, as well as one of the largest and most intricate farms within the settlement.
Despite Pentágono's scale and wealth, the settlement became largely inactive towards the end of 2025 and beginning of 2026. This was primarily due to the death of several well-known residents- including .DiplexMold2023, NoobDeGuerra and Salefranguito. As a result, many of the surviving members established personal bases and Pentágono's role shifted from that of a permanent megabase to a resupply point.
Gold shulker dispute
In Spring 2026, the security of Pentágono was compromised when its coordinates were leaked several times. On the 8th of June 2026, Burgsuer came across the coordinates from a new leak, and travelled to investigate the base. Upon arrival, Burgsuer discovered the base undamaged, but seemingly empty and without residents. Over the following week, Burgsuer made extended use of Pentágono's farms- most notably, in collecting a shulker box of gold blocks, with a trade value estimated at 9 Netherite Ingots. Burgsuer was generally open about their discovery and usage of the base, and the connection was eventually made by some players that it was likely Pentágono. On the 11th of June 2026, VeyK returned to Pentágono and discovered signs that another player had been present recently. After noticing missing items around the base, they discovered the shulker box of gold blocks- along with a sign warning not to take it. Fearing for their safety and unaware of who the mystery squatter was, they planned their departure- and after two days of waiting took the shulker of gold blocks.

VeyK » there's someone living in Pentagono and I have no idea if they're friendly
VeyK » so I want to leave here
- Messages from VeyK on the 13th of June 2026.
Returning several hours later, Burgsuer discovered that the shulker box of gold blocks had been taken and was furious. In chat, they warned 'whoever took my gold is getting killed' and 'if i dont get my shulker back somone might die'. Due to the difference in timezones and language, the connection was not publicly made that Burgsuer was at a base that VeyK was a resident of, and that VeyK had taken the shulker box of gold blocks. A sign was left by Burgsuer with an ultimatum that if the shulker box was not returned Pentágono would be destroyed. This escalation drew the attention of the Order of the Sanctum, which had formed an agreement with Porto Seguro, and by extension Pentágono, named the Porto Pact in late 2025. In response to the threat, VeyK left a sign reading 'go ahead' and destroyed the gold farm- completely preventing any further use. In response, and perhaps as a warning, a statue of VeyK was blown up with Burgsuer the assumed culprit.

At some point between the disappearance of the gold shulker box and first ambush, Burgsuer confronted SquirrelMC about the missing gold after discovering a was here sign they had recently left in Pentágono. With confirmation that it was Burgsuer that had left the ultimatum, Veyk and SquirrelMC approached leadership within the Order of the Sanctum and the decision was made to mark Burgsuer as kill-on-sight.
Escalation and killings
Ambushes
On the 19th of June 2026- during the height of the Spawn Town Revival- SquirrelMC attempted to kill Burgsuer at a meetup in Spawn Town. Due to the relative secrecy of the dispute until this point, both Burgsuer and many other players were shocked by the failed ambush. The attempted killing drew condemnation from many players- including 1590283112, with SquirrelMC eventually conceding that the situation may have 'been a whole mix up'. Despite this, on the 2nd of July 2026 a second attempt was made to kill Burgsuer- this time by Pannekoek15NL, who attempted to mace and anchor Burgsuer in The End. Burgsuer's totem was popped, but they escaped again.
Killings
Two days after Pannekoek15NL's attempt, a third and final attempt to kill Burgsuer was made by the Order of the Sanctum. On the 4th of July 2026, Burgsuer was blown up by ItsNoSix. Moments after the killing, ForbesMC entered The End and found Samestera picking up items from where Pannekoek15NL had been killed. Based off of this, Samestera became the assumed culprit but pled their innocence. After 10 minutes, evidence confirmed that it was not Samestera that had killed Pannekoel15NL, but 1590283112- who had carried the killing out in revenge for Burgsuer's death.
Tensions remained high over the following days, and as more information was shared the community became effectively split around the justification for Burgsuer's killing, and the resulting death of Pannekoek15NL. On the 17th of July 2026, SquirrelMC was blown up by 1590283112 as they made repairs outside of Spawn Town.
