PoorGrammar joined the server in April, on the same day as Moctezuma0.

Upon joining, he was attacked by a Cave Spider while mining, leaving him at half a heart. He encased himself in a granite box (This very box can be seen in Zvelid’s first video) and waited for the arrival of vines420. Vines gave him food as well as diamond gear. PoorGrammar upgraded this armor and wore it until his death, when it was destroyed in an explosion. After his narrow survival, he was invited by PenguinTerry to join a team that would later become Team Vortex. Together with Spartan2185, they built a base. During this time, he was challenged to a duel by a player named ThouLordFlyBoy. After ThouLordFlyBoy’s teammate died, he chose to go out fighting and invited PoorGrammar to a duel at spawn. PoorGrammar won and claimed his first kill on the server, though FlyBoy’s mindset and words always stuck with him.

PoorGrammar interacted with many players during this time, but the one that stuck with him most was MrNiquitos, a consistent face in the tab bar. Despite having different native languages, they talked frequently, with Niquitos teaching him small amounts of Portuguese. Unfortunately, they never got the chance to meet on the server, sticking to chats. He also interacted heavily with MicrosoftWorker and many others, most of whom do not remain alive, remembered by few.

However, PoorGrammar angered 2344523432 with comments on his attacks on other players. This led 234 to search a wide area around spawn to locate an Ender Pearl stasis of Grammar’s, which he then trapped. He narrowly escaped the trap, leading to a series of events detailed in the Team Vortex article.

The Hive

During his time with Terry, PoorGrammar built a secret meeting room which he was known for inviting several players to. One of those players was Flamethrower98, and they worked together to expand the room, building an entrance and discussing for over an hour. Eventually, they decided to form an organization known as The Hive Organisation.

They worked together to maintain towers and farms at spawn, even planning a giant project to light up the entire surface of spawn to help new players. This was to follow up on PoorGrammar’s promise to vines420 after his death, that he would carry on his legacy of helping new players. Unfortunately, once Flamethrower died the recruitment efforts of the Hive fell, and many fresh faces who joined seeking to help spawn, like stoneface1x1, were tragically killed. After PoorGrammar’s death, the massive quantity of lanterns he collected for the spawn lighting project are left unused, with nobody to place them.

Late Life

As detailed in the Vortex article, many of PoorGrammar’s original teammates died or became inactive, and so he and Zanther76 agreed to merge their team with the much larger Order of the Sanctum. He enjoyed his time with the Sanctum, but he had already accomplished most of his major goals on the server: Becoming the first to collect a stack of Tall Grass, Building a level 1 netherite beacon, surviving 500 days, and helping establish the strongest teams on the server. He had yet to kill 234 and fulfill his promise to FatherCreams, but that seemed impossible with 234 no longer logging onto the server. He worked together with the Order, hoping to help complete a major project they were working on using his wealth and the remaining resources of Team Vortex, once the richest on the server.

Death

When PoorGrammar was challenged to a duel by racist and random-killer Flagman45, he remembered the mindset of ThouLordFlyBoy and chose to fight him. No rules were set for the fight, though later Flagman threatened to leave if PoorGrammar did not stop using arrows of weakness, which make using end crystals inconvenient. They agreed to stop using them, and resumed fighting. PoorGrammar took an early upper hand due to the use of enchanted golden apples from the Team Vortex stash, allowing him to tank hits which would normally pop totems. However, during the fight Flagman retreated, claiming to need to regear. Low on gear himself, with his armor running low and almost out of crystals, PoorGrammar took the opportunity to regear himself. At this point Flagman returned, comboing PoorGrammar with end crystals while he was in his inventory. Hands shaking, he fumbled a totem of undying at a critical moment and was greeted with his final death screen on the server.

This marks the rare (perhaps unprecedented) event of a fair fight between max geared players on LHC, a server where the risk of dying is often so much worse than the payoff of victory.

After PoorGrammar’s death, VampireSquid, MikoYey, and Noavier, who had been spectating, sprung into action to prevent Flagman from claiming his head. They were successful, and his head was returned to Zanther76, the last remaining original member of Team Vortex. His death marked the end of the deadliest day on the server, beginning with the death of SquirrelMC. He was one of the top 3 highest playtime players to ever die, with 9 days and 10 hours of server time (almost 250 hours). After his death, he left all related Discord servers, though he still spoke to MicrosoftWorker, MrNiquitos, Moctezuma0, TheCosmicalKing, and the original members of Team Vortex. Moctezuma had died to a Piglin Brute earlier that day, meaning they had both joined and died on the same day. MrNiquitos, sad that some of his closest friends on the server (Moctezuma and PoorGrammar) had passed, said he was considering taking a break from the server.
