This Wiki Guide is intended to help the Legendary Hardcore community create or edit articles. Anyone is free to contribute to the wiki, and no contribution is too small. To get started, create an account.

Wiki Rules

  1. The Wiki is intended to be collaborative. Anyone can change an article, but contributors should respect previous contributions and changes should be constructive.
  2. Articles and contributions must be relevant to Legendary Hardcore and should not include references to players, clans or events outside of the server.
  3. Articles must be impartial and contributions must maintain a neutral tone when referring to players, clans or events.
  4. Contributions must be accurate and verifiable where possible. Avoid speculation and exaggeration.
  5. Plagiarism is not tolerated. Contributions must be original and generative AI must not be used to write articles.
  6. Contributions should include relevant contextual details as much as possible, including where and when events have taken place.
  7. Contributions must be written in English and should be proofread for spelling and punctuation mistakes before publishing changes.
  8. Articles must be formatted consistently across the wiki. Use infoboxes, headings, subheadings and other structural elements for their intended purpose and do not use them to emphasise or draw attention to information.
  9. Use links to reference events, players, places, bases and factions- even if an article does not yet exist for it.
  10. Clearly describe your contributions when saving an article. Do not leave the description prompt empty.

Making a Contribution

To make a contribution to an existing article:

  • Go to the existing article. In the header above the article, click Edit to use the visual editor or Edit Source to use the source editor. If you are new to the Wiki, it is recommended to use the visual editor.
  • Add your contribution to the article, making sure it is in full agreement with the Wiki Rules.
  • When you are ready to publish, press the blue Save page button in the top right corner.
  • A prompt will appear asking you to describe your contribution to the article. Take this opportunity to describe clearly and concisely how you changed the article. Only tick 'This is a Minor Edit' for small changes such as a single grammar or spelling correction. If you are interested in being notified for further contributions to the article, tick 'Watch this page'.
  • Your contribution has now been published.

Creating a New Article

Before creating a new article, confirm that it does not already exist under a different name. For example, an article about a player might exist under an alias or previous name. When you are certain that the article has not already been created:

  • Use the search box in the top right corner to search for the article you want to create.
  • On the results page, click 'Create the page "(your article)" on this wiki!'. This will create an empty page.

Creating a new article with a template

Article templates can be used to quickly generate a simple structure that is populated with basic information. You can then make subsequent changes to the content as needed.

  • To get started, select the appropriate template for your article below (clan, player, event, base)
  • Copy the template to a text editor of your choice and populate the relevant fields, leaving no space between = and your input.
  • Paste your populated template at the very top of the article you are creating. The article can not yet be edited, so click Save page and describe your contribution as 'Template generation'
  • Click Edit from the top header. You are now able to add or remove information from the generated article.
  • When you are ready to publish, press the blue Save page button in the top right corner.
  • When prompted, describe your contribution as 'Created page for (article name)'. If you are interested in being notified about further contributions to the article, tick 'Watch this page'.
  • Your new article has now been created.
