Minedog617 was a player on the Legendary Hardcore server and a member of Oathbound Covenant.

History

Early History

Minedog617 first joined the server and spawned in a snow biome, where Minedog617 nearly died to a stray. Soon after, Minedog617 traveled to spawn, where he met a player named Phyza. After meeting Phyza, Minedog617 was given diamond gear and invited to join his team. Another player later joined them, and the group spent several days traveling around spawn, using ice boat paths and exploring different areas. Soon later the third member died. Before leaving, Phyza gave Minedog617 the coordinates to the team’s base. Minedog617 then spent around 10 hours traveling alone across the Nether roof to reach it. After arriving, Minedog617 met the rest of the team and helped begin building a base. However, after Phyza died, the team eventually fell apart.

The Return

Following the collapse, Minedog617 left the server for a period of time. On April 27th 2026, they returned and began exploring again, nearly dying multiple times during their travels. Afterwards, Minedog took to exploring spawn for a while, till he applied to join Oathbound Covenant and was later invited by Conifict to join.

Goals

Minedog617’s goals on the server before his death were to survive as long as possible and make a lasting impact on the server. As a member of Oathbound Covenant, Minedog617 aimed to help shape the server’s future.

Death

On May 26 2026, Minedog decided to work on the recently griefed End main island, hoping to restore it. During his work, he was attacked by Santiagogmz, who insta-killed him. At the time of his death, Minedog had 2 days 21 hours 10 minutes of playtime.

Revival

Following Minedog617's death, Conifict created a memorial thread in the discord, wanting to honor the death of another member of Oathbound Covenant. Fourty minutes after the thread was posted, Natonite confirmed that Santiagogmz was an alt, meaning Minedog's death can be reversed. On May 27th 2026, Minedog617 logged in for the first time since his death, having been revived.

2nd Death

After being unbanned and revived, Minedog joined back the server on 27th of May 2026. He spent the next few minutes getting his bearings, checking what stayed with him through the revive and what was gone. He confirmed that his armor disappeared, but he was eager to grind it back, saying that loosing it was still better than being dead. Unbeknownst to him, during the time he was gone, a PK by the name of guiltfultuna managed to gain his teammate's trust, as well as the coordinates to their base. Having found Minedog's stasis, tuna pulled it and killed Minedog yet again. Between his first and second death, Minedog managed to play for a total of 30 minutes, all under the span of 3 hours. His last words were "its better then being dead​".
