The Nomads, sometimes referred to as The Goon Rats, was a short-lived clan active exclusively in March 2025. Despite its brief existence and small membership, the group is notable for the partially completed base they left behind, which was later discovered independently by two separate players and converted into a public rest stop.

History

The Nomads was founded on 15 March 2025 by 9numbernine9 (formerly prvttyz_) and BlackRobot. filtybarkid joined shortly after formation, making them the three original members. While constructing a Nether highway from their base to Spawn Town, BlackRobot burned to death in lava. On 16 March, the clan recruited GrownRanger7910 and Rajecplays, bringing membership to five. On 17 March 2025, TheoTheGamer12 attempted to raid the base and kill 9numbernine9 but was killed in self-defence. Later the same day, 9numbernine9 was killed by a zombie inside a trial chamber, and Rajecplays died from fall damage during a mining session. On 31 March 2025, GrownRanger7910 died from fall damage at the exact same location as Rajecplays' earlier death. filtybarkid, now the sole surviving member, became inactive in late March 2025. With no remaining active members, the clan was considered disbanded by the end of the month.

Rediscovery and repurposing of the base

In early June 2025, the abandoned Nomads base was independently discovered by Jaubert_ and Link_o. Both players repaired and significantly improved the main town house, stocking it with supplies and turning it into a functional rest stop for travellers passing through the area.
