Early History
The Beginning
a_real_raccoon first joined the server on 26th August 2026. She spawned atop an oak tree at midnight, cowering in a crouched down position, terrified of the mobs making noise around her. She took this lovely time to write the first page of her now-lost journal; "please help me i'm so terrified it's so dark".
As the night passed, a_real_raccoon used a D20 to choose a random direction to run towards in hope of finding a peaceful abandoned peace with a farm set up. She witnessed many long-abandoned bases, and kept running.
First Base
Her first base was surrounded by old gravestones, and a nearly-finished nether portal. It stood on an isolate archipelago, with a small wheat farming area and a lovely spot to fish from. She immediately dug down, and found a massive amount of amethyst before even smelting iron. That amethyst served well for the foundation of the base; just far enough not to get blown up by evil-spirited players, just shiny enough to satisfy the need of not using wood for building.
Soon afterwards, a_real_raccoon dug all the way down to bedrock, and lined all the way with deepslate stairs for ease of access for future miners. The harvest for diamonds was plenty, as she later died with 30+ diamonds in her inventory.
She spent most of her time on the server mining, fishing, cooking fish, and improving the base by replacing amethyst blocks with light blue glazed terracotta instead. The base features a small living area with a stained glass ceiling, oxidised copper doors and trapdoors.
Player Interactions
a_real_raccoon stayed solitary out of the fear of being scammed by a Player-killer hunter. In her words, "a stupid decision". She was somewhat active in chat, taking part in random conversations and welcoming new players. While adventuring near her base, she found a book written by zxBAMSEzx. She complimented the book, and soon after zxBAMSEzx had written the second version of the book, stating he would be making deliveries of the book to willing readers. a_real_raccoon came to the conclusion that the player was trusted, and surely wouldn't cause any harm. She sent her coordinates. The delivery arrived within minutes, including a complimentary gift of 2 totems. zxBAMSEzx recommended relocating to another place, further from the spawn.
New Adventure
Having taken the advice to heart, a_real_raccoon decided to relocate to the farming village specified in the book. The road was long, and perilous. The only logical way was to travel by nether. Following the coordinates, she came to a standstill– she had to get to the other side of a massive lava lake. Thankfully someone had left a harnessed strider alone. Hopping on the slavered strider, she soon realised the strider was refusing her commands. He was happily striding in the very circle of a lava lake, and she had to get off fast. Failing to place blocks while riding the strider, she fell into the lava. A totem saved her. The rest of the way was done fast and panicked.
Finally back in the overworld, having trusted a random portal not to be a trap, she found the village. It's a nice little village, though sadly not with immediate fishing access. She got to work instantly, harvesting and planting wheat crops, planting some potatoes, and building a composting set-up. Her new accommodation was a finished house in dire need of something special... copper. Copper door, copper lanterns, copper stairs, copper blocks. After having "coppered it up" to a satisfactory degree, she began forming a stairway to bedrock inside the house. That is where she found her end. Out of blocks, one totem popped, a_real_raccoon panicked and didn't have the time to set the second totem to off-hand.
She had planned on joining a faction interested in building an useful village for like-minded players to enjoy.
