Living and active players up to the 9th of April 2025.

The player population refers to players who are alive and active on the server. As of the 9th of April 2025, there are 647 living players and 324 active players who have connected to the server within the past two weeks.

Population Growth

The population has increased in size at a relatively steady rate since February 2025 with an average of 26 new players joining the server each day. A total of 1,250 players have connected to Legendary Hardcore since the server's creation.

Key Population Milestones
Milestone Date
100 Joins 28 February 2025
100 Living Players 3 March 2025
500 Joins 19 March 2025
500 Living Players 29 March 2025
1,000 Joins 31 March 2025

Population Sink

Population sink is a hypothetical scenario in which cumulative deaths surpass the number of living players. At this point, the number of dead players would outnumber the living. The closing of the distance between the number of living players and cumulative deaths suggests that the server could be approaching a population sink. Population sink is not necessarily a permanent state and it is possible for the population to stabilise again through an increase in the number of players joining the server. It is also possible for population sink to occur indefinitely without leading to population collapse, so long that there is a consistent stream of new players joining the server. This phenomenon is observable in the real world, where the number of humans who have died is far greater than the number of humans currently alive, yet the global population continues to grow.

Population Collapse

Since the server's creation, the population of living players has consistently grown. Population collapse is a hypothetical scenario where the population of living players decreases in size.

Population collapse would represent a stark change in population dynamics on the server. A decrease in the number of players joining the server and an increase in player mortality are the two core factors that could potentially bring about population collapse. There are currently no indications that the server is approaching population collapse.
