The April Fools Server Event was first announced by BossCoww with the text:
"Over the past year, we've had over 15,000 deaths. The LHC admin team has come to realize this is not great for player retention. So in order to increase player count, we've added a revival system! Simply eat a player head to revive them. But don't worry, if you already died and have no friends who are willing to eat you, just join respawn.legendaryhc.org to start your new life!

The head eating comment on the main server was an april fools "prank" but the server IP respawn.legendaryhc.org was real and took you to a server where the world border was 3000x3000 in the overworld and the "spawn" was identical to that of the real SMP. Plus you retained all your gear and items from the real LHC server when spawning in BUT the difference is that once you die there you can be "revived" with your loot and weapons if another player "consumes" your head which unbanned you from said server. The nether and end in said server were completely normal without anything being uploaded there from LHC. Since the server has been up people (mostly dead ones) have just been having fun CpVp-ing and such but at the current moment it is unknown (yet highly doubted) that this server will stay up year round and is suspected to be a 2026 April fools exclusive.
