Subject14 was a player on the Legendary Hardcore server, the founder of the Holoroug Empire, and a close friend and ally of EnderKM. He is remembered for his charity work, his dedication to helping new players survive, and for the empire and language he left behind. He died on 15 September 2026.

Early Life

Subject14 spawned in the middle of a frozen ocean. With nothing but a wooden pillar and a dirt pillar, he climbed up to gather wood and food — just enough to survive his first day.

By Day 2 he had found a forest and enough wood for a pickaxe, and by Day 5 he had left his first wooden pick and stone axe on a beach with a message: whoever found his journal would know he had died, and he begged anyone who found it to remember him.

The Journey to the World Border

Subject14 spent his early days travelling outward from spawn, driven by a single goal: to bring a new empire to the server — one of glory and learning — made up of "the grames who travelled to the world border."

Along the way he:

• Found an unlooted shipwreck and a ruined mega-base, crafting a crossbow and shield.
• Ventured deep into a cave and nearly died to a mob horde and an enderman, but came out with enough diamonds for tools and armour.
• Mapped out the server's danger zones: 3–8k blocks was a spawn killer zone, 50k was mostly untouched, and 100k was deemed safe by vets — though Subject14 distrusted the vets and chose to go further.
• Hit the 69k mark, then the 80k mark, and on Day 35 finally reached 100k blocks out.

He settled for a time alongside a player named Vally, and met up with oogway12 and vally1111.

Charity Work

Subject14 was known for going out of his way to help other players survive. Among those he helped were:

• C3lstya — who sadly died to a spawn killer despite his help
• ioploopy
• ShweeDy_
• Ganyamedeisme — who later died to a piglin
• Wizard_snoot — to whom he delivered a shulker of apples so that he could "give new people a chance to life"

He also saved the life of _VacTon_, who sent him a distress message after almost dying in a trial chamber. Subject14 came to his rescue and was glad he survived.

The Holoroug Empire

Subject14 founded the Holoroug Empire, a group dedicated to his vision of a new system on the server — one of glory and learning. The empire kept its own calendar (1/1/1, 1/1/3, and so on) and its own official log, Corecorth's log, written by Subject14 himself.

The empire's capital included:

• A highway
• A main building
• A main road
• A culture and language center, where Subject14 planned to teach future peoples his constructed language, Rori — "It will be my puzzle for them to solve."
• A study and storage media for all the data he had been gathering

Subject14 placed EnderKM in charge of the town he founded, with EnderKM supplying the rest of the team with totems while every other member contributed something of their own.

Corecorth's Log

Corecorth's log was the official record of the Holoroug Empire, written by Subject14 and left unfinished. It is dated in the Holoroug calendar and covers the empire's construction and its people.

Notable entries include:

• 1/1/6 — He saved _VacTon_ from a trial chamber after receiving a distress message, and was shown VacTon's base.
• 1/1/7 — Writing from the culture and language center, he reflected: "My home is the people around me, that includes EnderKM my good friend."
• 1/1/8–9 — "I wish him the best in everything. Not gonna lie though I would not care for him betraying me if it meant he got a better life. He deserves it. However I will not let him or anyone else that follows me fall down a dark path."
• 1/1/10–11 — He gathered a shulker of apples for Wizard_snoot so that he could give new people a chance at life.
• 1/1/12 — EnderKM showed him something amazing, and Subject14 decided to build a study so he would have a place to write.
• 1/1/14 — On the death of Tropnorr: "Never mace your friends even if you believe them to have a totem. Avoid the tragedy that befell our dear friend."
• 1/1/17 — Resting. The log ends here.

Burial Rites

Subject14 wrote a nine-page book of burial rites for the Holoroug Empire. Its central principle was that "it is only right to respect the dead of all people."

The rites covered:

• Enemies who died — take their stuff if possible, and make a grave for them with their journal and head, along with minor offerings.
• Members of the Holoroug Empire who died away from base — create a grave with offerings and a grave key.
• Members who died within the empire's borders — give them a proper burial with offerings, a grave key, and food.
• Members who died in friendly lands — the friendly lands must either return the body (including armour and gear) or make a grave for the dead.
• Members who died in enemy territory — build a grave inside the empire's borders, with offerings and a grave key.
• Friendly people who died within the empire's borders — seek out their teammates, or bury them there.

A grave key was a renamed trial key, formatted as "grave key: (insert username)" — a sign that the deceased was loved and cared about by the empire and its people.

Death

Subject14 died on 15 September 2026 to a skeleton. He was wearing maxed armour and carrying a totem, which did not pop. The death was caused by lag on his own WiFi.

Because the lag was client-side rather than server-side, his death did not qualify for a revival under Legendary Hardcore's revival rules. His total playtime at the time of his death was 260 hours.

His death echoed the warning he had written in Corecorth's log after the loss of Tropnorr — that a totem is never a guarantee, and that death can come even when everything seems in order.

Legacy

Subject14's empire, his language Rori, his burial rites, and both of his journals survive him. He was remembered by EnderKM as the player who saved his life with a single whispered warning, who refused to let him join as a full teammate but offered an alliance instead, who gave him his first diamonds, and who placed him in charge of a town he had built from nothing.

Trivia

• Subject14 joined the server on 10 August 2026 — meaning his entire story, from spawn to empire to death, spanned just over a month.
• Subject14 kept two journals — a personal survival journal (36 pages, signed and closed on 14 August 2026) and the official Holoroug Empire log, Corecorth's log (15 pages, unfinished).
• He constructed a language called Rori and planned to teach it at the empire's culture and language center.
• He personally saved the life of _VacTon_ after receiving a distress message.
• He was the one who warned EnderKM not to trust anyone, and advised him to travel at least 40k blocks from spawn.
• His death to a skeleton, despite maxed gear and a totem, became a cautionary tale in the same spirit as his own warning about Tropnorr.
• Subject14 personally reviewed this page before his death and approved it, requesting only that the location of the Holoroug Empire's territory be kept private.
• Subject14's last will, left for whoever found his body, read: "Thank you for being part of my story, enjoy life here friend."
