A grame is a term used by the Legendary Hardcore community for new players. The word is a portmanteau of grey and name, derived from the server's mechanic in which players with less than 24 hours of playtime are given a grey name in chat and tab. Because of this, the term is used more broadly to refer to inexperienced players.
Origin
On the 20th of January 2026, a mechanic was added to Legendary Hardcore which gave players with less than 24 hours of playtime a grey name in chat and tab, as well as making their messages sent in chat grey. This new feature made it possible to quickly recognise new players, who until this point could only be identified by checking playtime with the server's stats command. The concept of identifying grey-name players with a term was proposed by E1ite_Lunar, with Grame being suggested by TheCosmicalKing.

- Suggestion of the term Grame, made on the 20th of January 2026
In the following days after its introduction, the term Grame spread and quickly entered the server's lexicon. Alongside the term itself, anti-Grame sentiment quickly became common on the server. This 'Grame hate' was generally joking in nature and mostly humorous, rather than being genuine hostility. However, some players did dislike new players- and the ability to visually identify Grames made it easier to target them.
Graduation
After surpassing 24 hours of playtime, a player is said to have graduated Gramedom- after which point they are given a white name. Graduating Gramedom is a major milestone in a player's life on Legendary Hardcore, and an announcement is made in chat to signify the event. Members of the community will often congratulate a new player for surviving Gramedom.
