In mid August 2025, the settlement of Necropolis was founded by [[VenetianSnares]] and [[Tibbytubby]]. The town quickly expanded with the arrival of new members throughout August and September 2025. The Pumpkin Cult is thought to have been established at the same time as Necropolis was constructed. Membership often involved being given a Curse of Binding pumpkin, though members were not expected to actually equip the pumpkin.
At the core of the Cult is the worship of the Great Pumpkin, a divine, mystical entity believed to guide and protect its followers. Members claim to receive visions, signs, and blessings from the Great Pumpkin, which are interpreted by the High Priest and his closest Arch Lectors.
