Player Heads are unique items dropped whenever a player dies in Legendary Hardcore. Every player head permanently stores information about the death it represents, making it both a gameplay mechanic and one of the server's most significant historical artifacts.
Unlike ordinary items, player heads preserve details of a player's final moments indefinitely. Over time, they have become deeply integrated into the culture of Legendary Hardcore, serving as memorials, trophies, collectibles, historical records, and valuable trade goods.

Mechanics
Obtaining
Whenever a player dies, a Player Head is placed at the location of death.
Unlike other dropped items, each head permanently records information about that specific death.
Stored Information
Each Player Head contains:
- Player name
- Cause of death
- Killer (if applicable)
- Date of death
- Death coordinates
The information stored within a Player Head never changes after it has been created.
Because of this permanence, player heads often serve as reliable historical records when documenting important events throughout the server's history.

Dead Ender Chest
A player carrying another player's head may use the command:
/deadenderchest
to inspect the contents of the deceased player's Ender Chest.
This feature is commonly used to recover important items, return belongings to friends, or investigate what equipment remained after a player's death.
Indestructibility
Player Heads are indestructible.
Once created, they permanently remain in the world unless removed by server administration, allowing them to survive long after their owners have disappeared.
Cultural Significance
Although originally introduced as a gameplay mechanic, Player Heads gradually became one of the defining symbols of Legendary Hardcore.
Every head represents a unique player and a unique story. As a result, they have become important artifacts used to preserve the server's history.
Burials and Memorials
One of the oldest traditions in Legendary Hardcore is the burial of fallen players.
Rather than leaving a head where a player died, many players recover it and construct a memorial near their settlement or at the spot where the player died.
Typical memorials include:
- Graves
- Signs containing condolences
- Flowers
- Candles
- Personal belongings
- Decorative monuments
Some communities maintain entire cemeteries documenting multiple generations of players.

Trophy Collections
Not all Player Heads are treated as memorials.
Many player killers preserve the heads of defeated opponents as trophies, displaying them inside private vaults, faction headquarters or museums dedicated to their victories.
These collections often document wars, raids and notable kills throughout the server's history.

Trading
Player Heads are frequently bought and sold between players.
Their value varies considerably depending on:
- Historical importance
- Reputation of the player
- Circumstances surrounding the death (PVP)
- Collector demand
Most transactions are conducted using Netherite Ingot, the primary currency of Legendary Hardcore.
Collecting
Several players are known for maintaining extensive collections of Player Heads.
Some collections focus on:
- Early server members
- Famous players
- Player killers
- Rare deaths
- Historically significant figures
Others attempt to preserve a complete archive of every known death on the server.
Historical Documentation
Player Heads have become one of the most valuable primary sources available to historians documenting Legendary Hardcore.
Unlike screenshots or chat logs, a Player Head permanently records factual information regarding a player's death, allowing events to be verified long after they occurred.
Many player biographies and historical articles rely on surviving Player Heads to confirm:
- Date of death
- Cause of death
- Killer
- Death location
