The Longest Day refers to a 24-hour period between the 18th of August and 19th of August 2025 during which several veteran, high-playtime players on the server were killed in unrelated incidents.
Deaths
Death of Emodita
Emodita, with 110 hours of playtime, was blown up by a creeper at 8:27pm CST (UTC -06:00) on the 18th of August 2025 whilst performing construction in their base.
Death of SquirrelMC
At 12:13pm on the 18th of August 2025 and whilst flying through the Spawn Region with a Riptide Trident during a storm, SquirrelMC collided with a mountain and was killed on impact. Many players were left shocked by the passing of SquirrelMC, who had established themselves as an important community figure with 398 hours of playtime (making him the longest playtime player to ever die on the server), as well as an important contributor to various projects run by The Order of The Sanctum. SquirrelMC's teammates were able to locate the site of the incident and retrieve both SquirrelMC's player head and their infamous Cursed Pact Piglin Head.
Death of AbeLink64
AbeLink64, a well respected Redstone engineer, was killed at 1:20am on the 19th of August 2025 when an explosion from a TNT-duper he had built activated his Ender Pearl stasis chamber and brought him into the blast zone. AbeLink64 died with 138 hours of playtime.
Death of Moctezuma0
With 118 hours of playtime, Moctezuma0 was cornered and slain by Piglin Brutes whilst exploring a Bastion at 10:49am CST. Moctezuma0 had been playing on the server since the 12th of April 2025.
Death of R3n2n
In a joke that went wrong, R3n2n was killed by dogs belonging to Misslea_ at 3:41pm on the 19th of August 2025. R2n3n and the dogs had been splashed with a potion of invisibility by Pannekoek15NL and after hitting Misslea_ as a joke, R3n2n- who was not wearing armour and did not have a Totem of Undying- was swarmed. R3n2n died with 77 hours of playtime.
PoorGrammar313
PoorGrammar313 was killed in an explosion whilst dueling Flagman45 at 7:24pm on the 19th of August 2025. The duel, which took place in Spawn Town, was prompted by the killing of LeafifiedComment at the hands of Flagman45 and Flagman’s racist behavior in the chat. PoorGrammar313 died with 227 hours of playtime, making him the fourth-longest playtime player to die on the server, and had been an active player and important community figure since the 12th of April 2025, the same day that Moctezuma0 joined.
