Early Days

LazarFish0226 spawned on August 18, 2025, beginning his journey in the +,+ quadrant. His first days were challenging; he spent the days killing mobs for food and the nights mining and cooking over campfires. As he traveled farther from spawn, loneliness grew, but his spirits lifted when he discovered a shulker box full of shulker shells, allowing him to travel without worrying about inventory space. Every structure he found was griefed, and while players in chat acted friendly, the contrast with the ruined world left him uneasy. On the road, he came across “Tibby’s Horse,” a mob named by another player, which provided companionship as he traveled nearly 10,000 blocks from spawn. Feeling alone, he eventually decided to turn back. Rather than walking all the way through the Overworld, he entered the Nether, where everything was a wasteland of tunnels and abandoned player signs. He dug paths to move the horse forward, but within 200 blocks of spawn, while crossing a bridge, Tibby’s Horse fell. Lazar clung to the lead, trying to pull it back, but the horse snagged on netherrack until the lead snapped. RIP Tibby's Horse. Pressing on alone, with no totems, he entered the nearest portal to escape.

Spawn and New Friends

The portal brought him out still over 1,000 blocks from spawn, but a diagonal ice highway carried him quickly the rest of the way. On approach, he passed griefed remains of old builds, a broken restaurant, and a massive chicken statue that doubled as an egg farm. Lazar filled a shulker box with eggs before continuing. At 0,0, the Central Rotunda stood in partial ruin. Here, Lazar met Misslea_ (Lea), who invited him to leave a sign at her base. She led him to her build near spawn, where stacks of signs from past players and a pack of dogs gave the place an odd sense of warmth. Lazar left his own sign there, and soon after met ShyAlly, who at the time held the second-most playtime on the server. Hoping to be friendly, Lazar offered shulker shells, but ShyAlly declined, saying he already had plenty. Lazar instead gave some to Lea, who accepted them gladly. For a time, he remained near her base, setting up four campfires on the outskirts to cook food. Lea later placed benches around them, folding the fires into her base. With her permission, Lazar added a sign reading “Lazar’s BBQ,” his first meaningful mark of belonging.

Venturing from Spawn Again

Although spawn felt safer now, Lazar was drawn to exploration. He traveled through an ice spikes biome by boat before continuing on land. Along the way, he discovered the remains of Loxcoy, who had died to a creeper on May 5, 2025. When Lazar mentioned it in chat, SquirrelMC, one of the oldest and longest-surviving players, asked if Lazar could donate the head for a cemetery. Lazar shared the approximate coordinates before moving on. He reached a small island. It felt like a potential home, but it was ultimately just a stopover on his journey. Later that same day, SquirrelMC died, shocking the server.

Getting His Footing

After wandering, Lazar decided it was time to establish a base. He thought of using Schematica and tutorials to make an impressive build but ultimately chose to design something himself. On the island he had reached earlier, he built a house with an attached tower. Inside, he set up organized chests and an enchantment table, while outside he planted carrot and potato farms to supply food. Enchanting required experience, and Lazar set his sights on creating a farm for XP. Knowing how powerful armadillo XP farms could be, he set out to find them. On his journey, Lazar discovered several ocean monuments, which he would later conquer for the Tide Trim, and a Mooshroom Island, which he would later use to gather stacks of steak with a Fire Aspect weapon. The task of obtaining armadillos was long; he traveled over 2,000 blocks to locate them, then carefully brought them back to his base. He constructed the XP farm within the tower of his house. He just needed blaze rods now to run his XP farm.

Mining, Friendship, and Netherite

At his island base, Lazar dug a mine down to Y-level -58, setting up a proper resource hub. He asked in general chat for wool, and HippieFlip420 replied, generously sending some along with totems. To meet Hippie in person, Lazar traveled to spawn via the Nether roof—fast, safe, and oddly exhilarating. HippieFlip420 would later become a good friend. Around the same time, a player named Sizzleleeen gifted Lazar his first Fortune pickaxe on the server. It was a small gesture, but it felt huge. Soon after, another player offered to sell him elytra for shulker shells. Lazar jumped at the chance. Using the wool from Hippie, he crafted shulker boxes of beds and set off bed-mining in the Nether for Netherite. During the expedition, he found a Nether Fortress and farmed blaze rods, finally putting his XP farm to good use. Back in the Overworld, he had gathered enough Netherite to fully upgrade his armor, max Protection IV on every piece. A big milestone.

Exploring with FILIPXB

Lazar wanted a teammate and met FILIPXB. Together, they explored further into the world, traveling along the Nether roof using horses Lazar had bred for speed. During their journey, they discovered a griefed base over 100,000 blocks from spawn. Tragically, FILIPXB died by fall damage while attempting to scale a wall with wind charges. Despite the loss, Lazar continued to explore, carrying the lessons and experiences from their travels forward. He eventually discovered a gold farm built by MicrosoftWorker, one of the longest-surviving players on the server. Lazar continued exploring until he found a new island, a suitable location for his next base. Until he could establish it, he returned to his small island base to prepare for the move.

New Teammate and a One-Week Ban

While preparing for the move to the new island, Lazar met Checkered_Past, with whom he teamed up and went Netherite mining for Checkered’s armor. After Checkered went offline that day, Lazar continued mining alone. After a frustrating session in his strip mine with no diamonds, Lazar made a choice he would soon regret: he turned on his X-ray texture pack to speed up mining. Shortly after finishing, he was banned by an admin for one week for X-raying, temporarily halting his server activities.

Returning from Ban

After serving his one-week ban, Lazar returned to the server determined not to make any choices that could get him banned again. He loved the server and did not want to be remembered as a cheater. Checkered_Past was gone, either having died or become inactive, and Lazar sank back into loneliness, ashamed of his actions a week earlier and worried that other players would think of him as a cheater.

Tragic Meeting with .samira5773

Determined to rebuild his connections, Lazar invited his good friend .samira5773 to join him. She was not used to hardcore gameplay, normally building in peaceful worlds, so the experience was entirely different. Samira huddled in a hole at coordinates 1627, 61, -1937, waiting for Lazar. When he arrived at night, he intended for her to get in a boat so they could paddle toward spawn. As Samira dug her way out of the hole, Lazar was fighting a horde of zombies. Tragically, with his Sweeping Edge, Lazar accidentally killed Samira, marking another sorrowful moment in his journey.

Journey to the New Base

Still saddened by the encounter with Samira, Lazar remained determined to reach his new base location far from spawn. On the morning he planned to leave, he received a message on Discord informing him that Lea’s spawn base had been griefed. Lazar reached out to see if she wanted to team and shared the coordinates to his new base. The next day, Lazar traveled the long distance alone on the Nether roof. At the new base, he set up a villager, terraformed the island, and built a tower where he placed his enchanting setup, XP farm, and potions. He also constructed a new mine, a Nether portal, and a Nether hub, finally feeling optimistic.

Meeting GrizzlyBear654 and Growing the Team

Not long after settling into his new base, Lazar met GrizzlyBear654, a Bedrock player who had recently started playing on Java. Grizzly showed Lazar some of his builds on Discord, impressing him with his skill. Curious and friendly, Lazar reached out and asked to team up. They worked together to gear Grizzly up, and once prepared, they focused on building a massive villager trading hall. The goal was to get good trades for enchantments. Later, Grizzly invited his early-game friend Stahoven, and Lazar invited another friend, Huntress1301. Together, they built an iron farm, a raid farm, wool farm, and turtle scute farm. They also completed several trial chambers together. To run the raid farm, they needed Ominous Bottles. Lazar spent hours flying around the base area to find a pillager outpost. He eventually found one in a valley, but it had a terrible location. On his way back, he discovered a perfectly placed outpost in a plains biome. Around this time, Lazar received a message from Frostviserion, who asked to team up. Lazar accepted and prepared to meet Frostviserion, adding another player to the growing group.

Journey to the End

After establishing a strong team and building the trading hall, Lazar and GrizzlyBear654 decided to venture to the End together. Their goal was ambitious: to fly far out and construct automatic stasis chambers, a system that would become vital for teleporting safely between their island base and spawn. Using elytra and carefully coordinated flights, they soared across the End, exploring new islands. Along the way, they found many elytra, collecting them to ensure both of them and potentially future teammates would have plenty for long-distance travel. After scouting the best location, they built the stasis chambers. These automated systems allowed them to teleport between the island base and spawn quickly and safely. This expedition marked their first major project in the End.

The Streamer Hunt

Not long after completing the stasis chambers, a small streamer joined the server. Lazar watched the stream closely, observing the interactions in real time. The streamer quickly died but then rejoined on an alt account, which was against the server rules and would result in a ban. Players in the world were already giving the streamer valuable loot, and Lazar realized he could claim it before the streamer was banned and lost it all. Determined, he decided to hunt the player down. Lazar teamed up with LeoanEmpire, another player in the area. Together, they tracked the streamer, who dug underground in an attempt to hide. When the streamer resurfaced, LeoanEmpire reached him first and claimed the majority of the loot.

Reaching Out to BloodyOrphan

Needing rockets to fly his elytra, Lazar reached out to BloodyOrphan, a player on the server known for being friendly yet cautious. He asked if he could buy or trade some firework rockets. Instead of just trading, BloodyOrphan offered to help Lazar’s team by building a creeper farm and a sugar cane farm. On top of that, he also constructed a witch farm, providing valuable resources and automation. BloodyOrphan gave Lazar a “Bloody Good Honey” bottle, a legendary lore item he had created to show friendship and trust. Lazar was genuinely surprised by BloodyOrphan’s generosity and skill. The player's willingness to assist a newer player strengthened Lazar’s trust in the server community and showed that kindness could come from unexpected places.
