== History ==
Port Newton was founded in late October 2025 by [[7ark]], who constructed a central building and basic infrastructure, including simple farms. Along with [[7arkington]] and [[Rookgaard]], Port Newton was established primarily as a place for new players to settle.

On the 5<sup>th</sup> of November 2025, Port Newton suffered extensive griefing from an unknown player and many of the town's homes and farms were destroyed with explosives. Port Newton remained largely uninhabited until early December 2025, when [[7ark]] made a call for resources and volunteers to help reconstruct the damaged town. Following rebuilding, Port Newton saw a resurgence in growth and [[Gaplix]] was made town major.

The [[Theonian Boom]] in early January brought a wave of new players to the town. While it is still recognised officially as Port Newton, a common misreading of the town's name has led to it being referred to almost exclusively as 'Newtown'

== Characteristics ==
Port Newton is built on a small plains and savannah patch beside a large badlands biome, and is surrounded by a lukewarm ocean. The town features various homes and storage buildings, as well as simple farms, livestock pens and roads and bridges.

Points of interest in Port Newton include a large pyramid, colosseum, lighthouse and parkour course.
