== History ==

=== Formation ===
Shortly after joining Legendary Hardcore for the first time on the 28th of February 2025, friends [[ZMEDUSAZ]] and [[TrunchCo]] began speaking with [[EEgan]] after recognising their name from several other Minecraft servers. EEgan, who had joined on the 24th of February 2025, was already well established, and invited the pair to their base to use their farms. By the 4th of March 2025, the trio had founded a dedicated team and had agreed an alliance with [[Home Town]]. The group's name was not mentioned until the 12th of March 2025, when [[VampireSquid]] joined the server for the first time and was invited to join the team. The next day, [[THE_PR0CT0R]] was invited to join the team by ZMEDUSAZ.

Throughout March 2025, Boats and Hoes lived at EEgan's base several thousand blocks north of the [[Spawn Region]]. Eventually the group made the decision to migrate further from the Spawn Region, in part due to the increasing number of players joining the server and the risk of their base being discovered.

Between March and May 2025, the group amassed wealth, began work on a 200-block tall 'space elevator' sky base and began donating items and gear to new players. [[KenoTM]] also entered the groups ranks and gained notoriety for killing [[Gyldenurt]] over a dispute outside of Legendary Hardcore. KenoTM and player-killer hunter [[BlueLegionary]] dueled on the Nether roof, and BlueLegionary died when they were [[Death of BlueLegionary|unexpectedly blown up with an End Crystal]]. The event drew criticism from many players for the use of End Crystals in combat, and inspired the creation of the[[The Hqllxween Accords|Hqllxween Accords]]. Additionally, Boats and Hoes held grievance with [[Smartercob]]- who had been present with BlueLegionary before the duel and had attempted to [[Trapping#Explosive Trapping|trap a Nether Portal]] that KenoTM was expected to travel through. Despite this, Boats and Hoes eventually chose to trade BlueLegionary's head back to Smartercob which normalised relations, though ZMEDUSAZ would later share their regret at returning the head.

As time went on, the group began to face increasing challenges. On the 1st of April 2025, VampireSquid was banned for creating a lag machine. They were unbanned two months later, but not before TrunchCo died to client-side lag on the 26th of May 2025. By mid-June, the only active players in the group were VampireSquid and ZMEDUSAZ. On the 30th of May 2025, the group invited [[GusWorks]] to the Boats and Hoes base, but they starved to death on the same day while AFK at a farm. For the rest of 2025, VampireSquid remained the only consistently active member of the group- though ZMEDUSAZ and the_PR0CT0R would occasionally return. VampireSquid would eventually go on to join the [[Order of the Sanctum]] as a Knight in the summer of 2025.

=== Legendary Heads Incident ===
In October 2025, [[Zanther76]] leaked the coordinates of a stash belonging to the Order of the Sanctum to ZMEDUSAZ. By their account, the action was intended as a lighthearted joke, and for the fun of a heist. ZMEDUSAZ snuck in to the stash and took an orange shulker box named the Legendary Heads shulker, which contained various heads of dead, well-known players. Within the shulker was BlueLegionary's head, who ZMEDUSAZ is thought to have felt rightfully belonged to Boats and Hoes, instead of the Order of the Sanctum. At the same time, VampireSquid had announced their intention to quit the server, and they became the initial suspect in the theft of the Legendary Heads shulker.

With VampireSquid as the assumed culprit, the Order of the Sanctum revealed that VampireSquid had played Legendary Hardcore on an alternate-account named [[Spartan2185]] while they were banned. Additionally, TrunchCo had created an alternate-account called [[FlowerSpammer]]. As a result, VampireSquid and FlowerSpammer were banned from the server, and ZMEDUSAZ was banned for gearing FlowerSpammer. Zanther76 was also banned, but later pardoned.

=== Disbandment ===
With almost the entire group banned, Boats and Hoes effectively disbanded from October 2025. THE_PR0CT0R remained active, but was killed on the 2nd of November 2025 by player-killer [[Luquitas_Alpha]] while visiting Spawn Town. Though KenoTM and EEgan are still alive, they are no longer active on the server
