Originally known for his industrious cunning and uncanny ability to manipulate the flow of wealth, SquirrelMC was a brilliant architect of empires, both in trade and influence. He helped establish the Order of the Sanctum not only as a spiritual haven, but also as a seat of economic and arcane power. It was said that wherever gold flowed, SquirrelMC’s hand had already touched it.

But his legacy took a darker turn after his fateful encounter with the wandering pact-maker known as '''Alcred_'''.

Alcred_ offered pacts—bargains veiled in riddles and steeped in ancient, corrupt magic. Most who accepted his terms were twisted, consumed, or forgotten. But SquirrelMC was different. He struck a deal not out of desperation, but ambition. The pact gifted him unparalleled dominion over wealth—gold warped to his will, vaults that filled themselves, and artifacts that bent economies to their master's favor.

However, the pact came at a cost: his soul was tethered to the curse-bound treasures he hoarded. His body began to reflect the curse—his once-human form gilded and hollowed, eyes glowing with molten gold, and every step echoing like coins striking stone. Whispers claimed his voice could hypnotize merchants and shatter alliances with a single gilded command.

From then on, he was no longer merely a founder—he was ''The Gold Baron'', a patron of avarice, a cursed tycoon cloaked in sanctified wealth. His role in the Order grew more enigmatic. Some feared him. Others worshiped him. But none could deny that he was both a pillar and a ticking time bomb within the Sanctum’s legacy.

To this day, relics bearing his sigil—a squirrel coiled around a golden ingot—are sought and feared alike. It is said that those who find his hidden vaults may inherit his riches... or his curse.

As of August 10th, the Order of The Sanctum is perhaps one of the largest and most powerful factions on Legendary Hardcore. The Order bases itself on hunting player killers, and keeping spawn nice and tidy. It acts as the main peace keeping force of Legendary Hardcore, and cooperates extremely closely with Team Vortex in most affairs.

== Foundation ==
The Order of The Sanctum was founded June 25th by two players, SquirrelMC and TheCosmicalKing. The meeting was prompted when Cosmical reached out to Squirrel at spawn, who had just finished repairing the chasm left by RedReaperxd's world eater. The faction was founded at around the time of Spalmipede's dome construction, and the two players agreed to dedicate the faction to the protection of the Spawn Dome. The Order recruited ArtemyTheVorakh a day after, and the following week Bemf and Spalmipede joined the Order. These 5 players made up the Order's ranks for some time.

== Unofficial Merge ==
On July 24th, Spalmipede brought up the possibility of merging with Team Vortex, widely considered the richest faction on the server. TheCosmicalKing reached out to Zanther76, and a dialogue was established. Members from both teams negotiated for about 1-2 days before deciding that both teams would remain separate political entities, but in practice a “full” merge would occur. On August 5th TheCosmicalKing drafted an official Alliance document, which was signed by PoorGrammar313.

SquirrelMC, (Also known as The Gold Baron) is well known on the server for protecting spawn and killing player killers. He joined in mid June and is currently still alive. He also gives out free loot to many players he finds around spawn. In his first week on the server, he almost died many times and was struggling to find loot. That was until a player named Alcred_ offered to help him. He was provided gear and food. He then continued on his journey. Soon he found a nether portal that led to the nether roof and it made his journey to find a base quite easy. After finding the perfect spot, he settled down next to a village and started to trade.

The player from before, Alcred_, notorious for handing out cursed pacts to new players, was online. He announced that he was handing out these "cursed pacts" that contained god armor and a shulker with riches. But it came at a cost. You needed to wear a curse of binding head. Other players received pumpkin heads and wither skull heads, but this pact contained a curse of binding piglin head. When Alcred_ asked in chat who would be interested in the pact, two players responded. SquirrelMC and turtles2071. The only way to decide who gets the items was in a duel to the death. But due to SquirrelMC being incredibly far out in the world, the battle was decided to take place in the Reset Server. The 1v1 lasted two rounds and SquirrelMC won both of them. Finally achieving the cursed set. Labeling him as The Gold Baron.

After a few days, SquirrelMC started a project at spawn to cover a massive creator. He gathered around 10 people, and the 200x200 blocks crater was covered in a day. SquirrelMC still lives to this day, protecting players and killing murderers.
